Courage and Change



I love this quote!  I revisit it all the time.  
Change is hard!  It is in our nature to do the same things over and over.  What "feels comfortable" is what we do!

But, 
what if the things we are doing in our classrooms no longer work?
What if they no longer bring us joy?
What if change would take us to the next level?
What if letting go meant something more meaningful?

Be thoughtful, be brave and see what can happen!

Determination

Working with struggling students for most of my teaching career has taught me a few things about children and how attitude impacts learning.  I have seen it all!  Smart students that give up on learning, and struggling students that are determined to succeed.    

What does it take to be a determined learner?

Here is my list of qualities that children need to possess to be successful:

Responsibility
Realizing that you are responsible for your own learning.

Confidence
Knowing that you have what it takes to learn!

Desire
Having a curiosity and excitement to learn.

Drive
The energy that moves us forward.

Courage
The willingness to take risks and try something new.

Happy Valentine's Day Ladies!

I want to share a few quotes and thank you's today!

I have spent more time this year learning new things, than using what I already knew. It is a humbling experience to realize that there is so much I don't know! Thankfully, I have had wonderful mentors to help me. They have extended a hand of fellowship and made me feel competent and accepted.
